Telecom Pragmatics

Specializing in Telecommunications Markets and Technologies

About Us

Mark Lutkowitz and Sam Greenholtz founded Telecom Pragmatics, Inc. on May 1, 2003. The primary functions of this independent firm are industry consulting and market research. While both principals have broad telecommunications backgrounds, the one outstanding differentiator is their extensive contacts within the industry and the ability to gather detailed and honest comments from the service providers and other customers regarding vendors. It is not uncommon for a supplier to learn that what it once thought was a positive and productive relationship with a carrier is actually quite the contrary. Moreover, it has always been and will continue to be the policy of Telecom Pragmatics to represent the facts as discovered and not to embellish or downplay any information we receive. Our reputation is our single most important business quality.

Telecom Pragmatics has advised companies on far-ranging matters such as product additions to actually offering suggestions on mergers and buyouts. Major corporations have actively pursued a relationship with us in order to achieve these types of goals.

At the same time, Telecom Pragmatics has continued to provide in-depth analyses of the telecom networks to those companies seeking to learn more about the competition or the requirements of their customers. By doing interviews and fact finding directly with important carriers, enterprises, and suppliers, we have been able to produce results that have surprised our clients by presenting unmatched levels of insightful and candid feedback.

Telecom Pragmatics will not be an advocate for any product or service. However, it will support the innovative and intellectual properties of a vendor. Collecting data and comparing similar products in an open and factual presentation is the hallmark of our business.

We can help in reviewing Telcordia documentation and in providing OSMINE and NEBS guidance. We have at our disposal, various types of information and guidance from Wall Street to K Street and our coverage spans the North American, European, Asian, South American, and African marketplaces.

Our research encompasses the full range of telecom issues in both the wireline and wireless sectors. Whether the discussion involves incumbent local exchange carriers, cellular providers, cable TV firms, CLECs, private enterprises, government entities, or educational institutions, Telecom Pragmatics is often ahead of the pack in determining the future direction of the industry.
